Betty L. Smith

Betty Lou Smith was welcomed into Heaven on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Betty was born August 14, 1959, to her loving parents, Gordon and Myrtice Smith. Betty is survived by her mother, Myrtice Smith, her sisters Belva Schmalfuss, Lovie Driskill (Carl) and Barbara Smith. She is also survived by nephews and nieces Adam Driskill (Renee), Brooke Harrison (Aaron), JoAnn Shearer (David) and Robbie Schmalfuss (Rachel), Zane Driskill, and 6 grand nephews and 3 grand nieces.

She is preceded in death by her father and her brother-in-law Bob Schmalfuss.

Betty loved her family deeply and her family cherished her. We will miss her dearly, but we rest in the knowledge that Betty is now walking and talking in Heaven and we know we will see her again.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4th from 5pm to 7pm at Independent Funeral Home in Quincy. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, February 5th at 2pm at Celebration Baptist Church, 3039 Faceville Hwy, Bainbridge, GA. Burial will follow at Sylvania Cemetery.
